Graduate Program in Balkan and Eastern Mediterranean Archaeology

Our PhD program lasts six semesters.

It is a continuation of the MA program, but it is open also to people possessing a MA degree in archaeology or anthropology from other universities.

Our PhD program is highly individual. The type and amount of involvement in fieldwork and artefacts processing depends on the topic chosen.

An important advantage of our PhD program is that we offer graduate students the chance to process unpublished material, to carry innovative research, and to become active members of the research community.  

The PhD degree fees do not include costs related with the participation in fieldwork and museum work.

PhD Fees: 3 300 Eu per semester. We can offer reduced fees for Citizens of the EU referring to 1 500 Eu per semester. The PhD degree lasts 6 semesters.
